Lobbying and representation
Labour market development
ASPIRE works with universities and other educational institutons to support internship programmes, curricula development and enterprise development. The Association also keeps close contact with regional government to influence funding for skills development and labour market analysis.
ASPIRE seeks every opportunity to engage with the Central, Regional and Local government on issues of relevance to the sector. This is done through regular government interactions and representations. Members may raise issues with ASPIRE that have industry-wide impact.
Infrastructure
ASPIRE aims to work with government on initiatives where it is a major player: areas like infrastructure, laws to improve incentives to educational institutions to adapt curricula to the needs of the industry and development of new technology parks.
ASPIRE focuses on opening channels of communication with local stakeholders and seeking out opportunities for co-operation and processes for delivering change. One example of ongoing co-operation is:
‘iCommuter’ – a project run in co-operation with the City of Kraków to identify and address transport needs of IT & Business Process Services companies and to promote sustainable mobility.
Synergies with other networks
ASPIRE also networks members with the wider business community through platforms such as the South Poland Presidents’ Club, which brings together major international investors in the South Poland region. This allows members to partner with the wider investor community in addressing issues common across sectors and to take advantage of the Presidents’ Club convening power.
ASPIRE also runs a Business Ambassadors Programme, supporting government in attracting new investment into the region.
National and international opportunities
ASPIRE – located in Kraków – has developed strong relationships with national and international organisations which broadens the Association’s activity not only in Poland but worldwide.
ASPIRE is a member of the CEEOA – an association of Central and Eastern European organisations aimed at promoting the region as global leader for outsourcing.
We also cooperate and are in regular contact with other international organisations, such as NASSCOM, the representative body for the Indian global services, the Shared Services and Outsourcing Network (SSON) and the World BPO Forum in New York.
