Aspire Diversity Expert Group: FAQ

1. What is the ASPIRE Diversity Expert Group?

The Diversity Expert Group is a community of professionals drawn from across the ASPIRE network of shared services, outsourcing and technology companies engaged in Diversity initiatives (e.g. CSR leads, HR managers, Inclusion & Collaboration leads etc.).

The aim of this group is to support shared learning, exchange ideas and best practices across the ASPIRE membership in the area relating to diversity both in the workplace and in the wider society (cultural diversity, disability, women, age, LGBT, etc.)

2. Who can be a member of the Diversity Expert Group?

Any person working for an ASPIRE member company who is nominated by their company. Members may nominate more than one person to the group.
To nominate someone to the group, please contact the ASPIRE Team at: joinus@aspire.org.pl

3. How does the group function?

The Diversity Group is a free, self-directed team. The Diversity Team at Cisco acts as Champion of the Group, which is also supported by the ASPIRE Team.

The Group determines its own agenda and activities.

Support includes ASPIRE Connect, a dedicated online tool for ASPIRE Expert Groups, which includes a Group Directory, Events Calendar, and Resource Library.

4. What do Group meetings look like? How often do they take place?

Meetings focus on the nuts-and-bolts of diversity management, including discussion on best practices in managing a diverse workforce, how to overcome challenges related to diversity, and how to actively unleash the potential of diverse teams.

This format is designed to facilitate and enable member-to-member exchange of experience and learning, engage in discussion around topics of interest and develop common initiatives. Participants can post questions and share lessons learned from their own experiences.

Frequency of meetings is determined by the Group. Through regular meetings the Group aims at establishing a network that participants can reach out for ongoing support.
